CHICAGO COOK WORKFORCE
PARTNERSHIP - CHATHAM FACILITY
GMA is working with the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership to deliver a new workforce development center in Chatham. Created in 2012, the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership is a non-profit and an umbrella organization operating the public workforce system in the City of Chicago and Cook County. The Partnership combines federal and philanthropic resources to broaden the reach and impact of workforce development services for both employers and job seekers.
This project includes the fit-out of a vacant building to create a full-service satellite workforce center. The workforce center will include multiple partners including state agencies, community-based organizations and other direct service providers. Services may include: hiring events, job screening and placement, individualized career planning/coaching, digital literacy training/certification, financial literacy, resume creation and review, interviewing skills and occupational training.
